Apricity Trio

Apricity Trio is a U.S.- and Japan-based ensemble for flute, clarinet, and percussion. Formed in 2015 by longtime friends Tracy Doyle, Chiho Sugo, and James Doyle, the trio presents concerts and artist residencies throughout the United States and Japan. Their programs blend influences from the landscapes of the American West and the minimalist beauty of Japan, often incorporating collaborations with sculptor Koshi Hayashi, pianist Kiki Kashiwagi, and composer Ippo Tsuboi. Whether performing in concert halls, galleries, universities, or outdoor arts festivals, Apricity Trio creates engaging, multimedia performances that celebrate cross-cultural collaboration. Their debut album, Sandhill Crane, was released in 2018.
